Album to be released on Deepsend Records!
November 21st, 2008 by admin ...THE CLEANSING SIGNS WITH DEEPSEND RECORDS!
We have finally decided on a label and we are happy to tell you that Poisoned Legacy will be released on US label Deepsend Records in early 2009.
As some of you might know they are already working with fellow Danish death metal act, Dawn of Demise. As soon as we have an exact release date we will let you know! We are looking forward to work with Deepsend.
We are still working on cover, we are finally getting there – it’s gonna be sick!
And don’t worry – a new track from the album will be up on our myspace very soon as promised!
Here is the official press release from Deepsend Records:
THE CLEANSING hail from Copenhagen, Denmark and pummel the listener with their aggressive brand of Danish death metal. Take the polished death metal assault of Immolation and add in the punishing groove of fellow Danes (and label mates) Dawn of Demise and that only cracks the surface of the true force of “Poisoned Legacy”, the band’s debut album. Performed with an almost surgical precision and a clear yet intense production courtesy of Danish producer Jacob Hansen (Aborted, Dawn of Demise, Volbeat), The Cleansing have forged an album of highest quality destined to be a favorite of fans of Morbid Angel, Immolation, Dawn of Demise, or Vader.
Formed in 2007 after the demise of Usipian, members Andreas, Jeppe and Toke added drum master Morten Lowe of The Arcane Order (Metal Blade), Submission (Listenable) and known for his session work with Soilwork (Century Media) and Scarve (Listenable). Also, within their ranks is bassist Martin Rosendahl of Corpus Mortale (Willowtip) and was previously a member of Danish legends Iniquity. Martin also provides all of the vocals on “Poisoned Legacy”, so expect a sonic firestorm with a groove-ladened crunch that will terminate all in its path.

Unfortunately Toke is not able to re-record the vocals for Poisoned Legacy as we hoped. For some time now he has been having problems with his voice and is therefore in no condition to record an entire album. That means the album will remain with Martin behind the microphone.
Hopefully Toke will be back in shape to play some live shows in the very near future – and of course to record the next The Cleansing album!
Right now we are working on the artwork for Poisoned Leagcy which we of course will reveal for you as soon as it is finished.
We REALLY hope we can give you a release date very soon – so be patient!
Also, we are going to add at least one more song from the album here at our myspace within the next few weeks.
Well, guess that’s it for now….STAY METAL!

Hey everybody!
Time for some cleansing news! The forthcoming debut album from The Cleansing will be called “Poisoned Legacy“.
As we speak a lot of stuff are going on in the band – first of all, Toke is about to start re-recording the vocals for the album and second of all dialogs with record labels interested in The Cleansing have begun.
When we know more, such as record label and release date you will be the first to know (well, almost…!)
That is all for now – take care!

News regarding Toke
June 24th, 2008 by admin ...Recent events have lead us to release some insider information regarding the album.
Toke was taken in custody by the police during vocal recording sessions in march, only a few weeks before mixing was planned. In search of a fast and equal solution for everyone all vocal was recorded by Martin Rosendahl. Toke had recorded three songs but wasn’t all satisfied, so we chose to use Martins vocal on those three tracks also.
Less than two weeks ago Toke was presented to a judge and was – against our expectations – released to serve his sentence later.
Therefore Toke is now rehearsing to get back in shape to (if possible) re-record the vocal tracks.
This will not delay the album!
If Toke is called in to serve before recordings are finished, or if a deadline is closing in, the album will remain with Martins vocal.
In the matter of personal interest Toke has great regrets about him not singing on the album and being taken in custody at such a critical time, he’ll do his best to get his vocal on the album.
